Anthropic-Managed Claude Deployment Now GA on Google Cloud

Google Cloud has announced the general availability of an Anthropic-managed deployment option for Claude Models on Google Cloud, giving teams a second way to run Anthropic models alongside the existing Google-managed option. Both options provide the same frontier models on day zero, the same pricing, and billing through Google Cloud; the difference is who acts as the data processor and how quickly new Claude platform features become available.
With the Anthropic-managed option, Anthropic operates the stack as the data processor on Google Cloud infrastructure under Anthropic‘s terms of service. Customers get day-zero access to Claude models and Claude Platform features including Claude Managed Agents (beta), skills, and code execution. They still authenticate using Google Cloud IAM, keep Cloud Audit Logging, and can consolidate spend under their existing Google Cloud billing and eligible commitments.
With the Google-managed option, Google Cloud remains the data processor under existing customer agreements. This path is aimed at organizations with strict governance, compliance, and sovereignty requirements, offering VPC Service Controls, Customer-Managed Encryption Keys (CMEK), and data residency in the U.S., EU, and APAC. New Claude Platform features are available once integrated into the Google-managed infrastructure; native integrations with Google Cloud services such as BigQuery and Model Armor are included, along with standard billing and commitment drawdown.
Available models on both options include Claude Fable 5.1, Sonnet 5.5, Haiku 5.5, and Opus 5.5. The announcement states that new platform features are immediately available on the Anthropic-managed option and roll out on the Google-managed option once integrated, giving developers the full range of reasoning, coding, and multimodal capabilities with Google Cloud IAM and Marketplace billing.
