OpenAI announced it is making ChatGPT Health available to all U.S. users over 18 across all plans.

The feature allows users to ask health-related queries and integrate data from services like Apple Health, Epic, Oracle Health, and MyFitnessPal.

During testing, OpenAI observed 70% of health queries occurred outside the dedicated hub, so the new rollout enables health insights within general chat.

The company reported 300 million weekly health-related queries, up from 230 million in January.

The rollout follows a lawsuit from a Florida pastor who alleged ChatGPT gave a near-fatal suggestion not to consult a doctor. OpenAI claims its GPT 5.6-Luna model outperforms GPT 5.

5 on HealthBench, an internal benchmark, and states it does not use user data for training and works with physicians.

However, the company maintains in its terms that the service is not intended for diagnosis or treatment. The feature is rolling out to U.S. users on the web and iOS this week.
