Looker has introduced Agentic Workflows, a new preview feature that automates metric monitoring and root-cause analysis within the Looker platform.

Traditional BI alerts only notify analysts that a metric changed, requiring manual investigation.

Agentic Workflows uses background agents to continuously monitor data based on natural language commands—such as “Monitor return rates weekly”—and automatically run Key Driver Analysis when a threshold is crossed.

The diagnostic results are delivered via Slack or email, with a link back to Conversational Analytics for deeper follow-up questions.

Administrators control workflow management centrally, and end users can view or edit their own monitors. The feature is available in preview for Looker version 26.
