Expanding support for scientists with Claude subscriptions and credits

Anthropic is expanding its support for the scientific research community with a new Claude team plan for scientists, offering 10,000 free and discounted subscriptions worldwide.
Standard seats are free, and premium seats with 5× usage limits cost $15 per month.
The company also broadens its AI for Science program, which previously focused on biological sciences, to cover other fields such as mathematics and protein design.
Researchers can apply for up to $50,000 in credits per project.
Access to advanced models remains restricted: biology and chemistry work is limited to Opus-class models, while Fable models block professional biology and drug development queries due to dual-use concerns.
Anthropic is working with the US government on a separate access program for life sciences professionals to use Mythos-class models.
The Claude Science product, launched in June, integrates commonly used tools, produces auditable artifacts, and provides flexible compute access.
