Music streaming platform Deezer reports that over 50% of its daily uploads are now AI-generated, up from 10% in January 2025.

The company tracked the monthly rise: 10,000 tracks/day (10%) in Jan 2025, 20,000 (18%) in Apr 2025, 30,000 (28%) in Sep 2025, 50,000 (34%) in Nov 2025, 60,000 (39%) in Jan 2026, 75,000 (44%) in Apr 2026, and a peak of 90,000 tracks/day in June 2026.

Deezer responded by removing AI-generated tracks not streamed in six months or involved in fraudulent streaming to drive up revenue.

CEO Alexis Lanternier stated the company is taking additional steps to safeguard artist rights while focusing on music fans actually love.

Deezer also developed AI-detection technology that can identify tracks generated by models from Suno and Udio, two startups facing copyright lawsuits.

The detection tech was made available to other platforms last year, but no major platform has adopted it yet.

Last month, Deezer released a tool that can scan Apple Music and Spotify playlists for AI-generated tracks.
