Claude for Small Business expands workflows, integrations, and training

Anthropic expanded Claude for Small Business, its connectors-and-workflows product for small business owners, with 43 workflows and 27 new integrations with tools including Shopify, Salesforce, TikTok, Atlassian, Zoom, Xero, Gusto, Square, Stripe, and Zapier. The product launched in May and has been installed more than 900,000 times. Original partners remain Intuit QuickBooks, PayPal, HubSpot, Canva, Docusign, Google Workspace, and Microsoft 365. The release is paired with the second leg of the Claude SMB Tour: free half-day workshops in 10 US cities run with Tenex, more than 750 community workshops from 150-plus Approved Claude SMB Trainers, and a fall webinar series from 14 integration partners.

The workflows run inside Claude Cowork, the desktop app where Claude works with files and connected tools. Owners install the plugin, say ‘help me get set up’ or type /smb-onboard, connect their tools, and pick a task. Each workflow can run on a schedule. The weekly brief pulls cash position, week-over-week sales, pipeline changes, overdue invoices, and a short priority list onto one page; the speed-to-lead workflow qualifies after-hours inquiries, drafts replies with real calendar openings, and logs to CRM; the proposal builder turns a voice memo into a priced, branded proposal; the social content engine drafts posts in the owner’s voice with on-brand graphics; and the month-end close reconciles books against sales settlements, card spend, and payroll, then produces a plain-English P&L and a close packet for an accountant. The workflow list reports 37 eligible partner connectors, and a spreadsheet upload path exists for cases where no connector is available. By default, Claude stages work and waits for approval before anything sends, posts, or pays; owners can let a workflow run on its own one workflow at a time and switch back at any point. Existing software permissions carry through, and Anthropic says it does not train on business data on Team and Enterprise plans.

The spring tour gathered feedback from more than 1,000 owners in 10 cities. About a third asked for help with growth: generating leads, answering inbound inquiries, and writing proposals; many also wanted day-to-day reporting automated. The new release is built around those requests. The article includes several owner-reported results: Mothership Coffee Roasters runs six cafés from one consolidated view and credits tighter scheduling, ordering, and inventory reporting for in-store margins of 22%; Bambi Baby, a stroller and car seat retailer, tied $60,000 in sales to a Claude-built scan-to-wishlist lead capture in the first four days and saw 18% of online revenue newly attributed to in-person visits two weeks into a two-store pilot; creative agency KANE cut scoping-to-statement-of-work from weeks to minutes; and bookkeeping/HR firm HireEffect isolated 16 transactions behind a $13,000 discrepancy and turned a two-hour monthly reporting task into a ten-second one. Owner quotes in the post describe time savings, daily briefings, and treating Claude as an equalizer for firms at 40–200 people.

The fall enablement push includes free half-day workshops in Boston, Pittsburgh, Detroit, Minneapolis, Phoenix, Memphis, Savannah, Bentonville, Tampa, and Raleigh, hosted with Tenex. More than 150 organizations trained as Approved Claude SMB Trainers will run 750-plus workshops in their communities, and 14 integration partners will host free live webinars from late September through November, covering what the connector does inside Claude, how data moves between the tool and Claude, and a workflow run live during the session. Anthropic also named an initial set of SMB-focused consulting partners and system integrators in its Claude Partner Network: A.team, AnswerRocket, Bold Tech, Caylent, First Line Software, Grid Dynamics, LightCI, Loka, Praecipio, Rosetree Solutions, and The Agile Monkeys. The company is partnering with Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses on a learning series about applied AI, is a founding partner of IncuVersity (The DO’s program for early-career entrepreneurs), and is working with Echoing Green as it incorporates Claude into its AI-focused programming. Claude for Small Business is available on every paid Claude plan, with the Team plan recommended for businesses with more than one person.

The post does not state precise pricing or availability limits beyond the paid-plan requirement, and the reported productivity and revenue numbers come from the owners themselves, not from an independent evaluation.
