Cerebras CEO Says Home AI Assistants Are Close

Speaking at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, Cerebras Systems CEO Andrew Feldman said the vision of an AI appliance in every home is not far away.

He pointed to consumer AI agents such as Meta’s Muse and Instinct as signs that AI is gaining traction with everyday users.

Feldman predicted that personal AI assistants will run locally, with some work done on device and some in the cloud.

They will get to know users deeply, sit behind a security perimeter, and have access to credit cards to make purchases on their behalf. He argued they will make a meaningful impact on people’s lives.

As a chipmaker, the idea of widespread consumer adoption of agentic technology is naturally appealing, but Feldman also described himself as a personal user: he employs a collection of agents to manage his calendar and prepare information about people before calls.

What excites him most is the possibility of new uses that were not possible before, and he expects other founders to discover them.

Feldman said he prefers building infrastructure because he does not need the consumer-facing idea himself; he likes creating platforms on which others’ ideas take flight.
