Nothing CEO says AI-native product ships in December

Nothing, the smartphone startup known for the Nothing Phone, has announced that its first “AI-native product” will ship in December, according to CEO Carl Pei.

In a post on X, Pei described the device as a tool built with the personality and care typical of Nothing products, adding that it has no new screen and could not have been an app.

He also called it a “productivity tool.” The company had previously teased AI-first hardware, including AI-linked smart glasses and earbuds with AI integrations.

Pei offered little detail about the form factor, but his wording points to a screenless, non-app AI device.

He also distanced the product from the current wave of AI wearables such as pendants, pins, and glasses, saying he admires the industry’s boldness but reads the moment differently.

No firm release date beyond the December window has been announced.
