Google Cloud Developer plugin now in Antigravity Marketplace

Antigravity has added the google-cloud-developer plugin to the Build with Google section of its Marketplace. The plugin bundles foundational skills, safety guardrails, and live documentation grounding so coding agents can build on Google Cloud without inventing deprecated SDK syntax, guessing invalid gcloud flags, or performing operations that lack the required IAM permissions. It also addresses the risk of enabling billable APIs or provisioning cloud resources without explicit user consent.
Configuration is minimal: the bundled Developer Knowledge MCP server comes pre-authorized by default. Antigravity manages authentication transparently, so there is no need to configure API keys, exchange OAuth tokens, or edit configuration files. After installation, the agent connects to official Google developer documentation immediately.
The plugin provides three key benefits. Live documentation grounding lets the agent query official Google Cloud documentation over streamable HTTP. Safety and cost guardrails enforce least-privilege IAM patterns and require consent before enabling billable APIs or modifying cloud infrastructure. Environment awareness lets the agent inspect local CLI configurations and design safe execution roadmaps before running commands.
The plugin includes five bundled skills. finding-google-skills powers flexible skill routing by discovering and loading skills on demand from the google/skills repository on GitHub. retrieving-developer-knowledge returns answers and code samples grounded in official documentation across Google Cloud, Firebase, Android, Web, and Gemini. gcloud enforces execution guardrails, validates syntax, and applies safety checks to gcloud commands, blocking accidental destructive operations. google-cloud-recipe-auth steers agents toward secure authentication patterns such as service identities and Application Default Credentials, while blocking risky practices like downloading service account JSON keys. google-cloud-recipe-onboarding guides initial project setup, account onboarding, and billing verification, auditing project states before activating services.
The plugin also includes google-cloud-discovery.md, an active routing rule that works with finding-google-skills. When a prompt touches specialized topics, the rule directs the agent to fetch relevant skills from the public catalog on demand. This dynamic routing keeps the agent fast and token-efficient by avoiding preloading dozens of niche skills into the context window.
Installation is one click via the Antigravity Marketplace UI or a single CLI command. The CLI registers the skills and connects the Developer Knowledge MCP server immediately. The plugin and skills are also available on GitHub.
After installation, no special prompt syntax is needed. For example, asking “Based on the documentation what is the main difference between GKE and Cloud Run? When should I use one over the other?” causes the agent to query the pre-authorized MCP server and produce a verified answer based on official documentation instead of guessing.
