Amazon’s Bee launches Bee Frontier and Eclipse AI wearables at $75

Amazon‘s personal AI wearable maker Bee introduced its first new products since being acquired by Amazon last year: the Bee Frontier, a device worn on the wrist or pinned to clothes, and Bee Eclipse, a credit-card-sized device that magnetically attaches to the back of a smartphone. The Frontier costs $74.99 and the Eclipse costs $99.99. Both use AI to take notes from everyday conversations and turn them into actionable to-dos, summaries, and insights—for example, remembering a agreed date and creating a calendar invite, taking lecture notes in class, or jotting down a care plan discussed with a doctor.

All Bee devices create conversation summaries and recaps for free and offer 14 days of memory. A $11.99 per month Bee Pro subscription adds unlimited conversation summaries, integrations with Amazon.com, Alexa+, and third-party applications, plus suggested to-dos, daily memories, a personal chat assistant, and conversation templates. Bee devices use a private computing security architecture: raw audio from conversations is processed in real time and then deleted, and transcripts are encrypted using keys created and controlled by the device, so no one else—including Amazon employees—can access files unless the user intentionally shares them. Users can optionally connect Bee to Alexa, and an Echo device can use Voice ID to recognize when the user is speaking and record conversations for Bee‘s insights. Amazon notes that transcripts and summaries can be deleted at any time.

With connections to Amazon.com and Alexa, Bee users can make purchases from Amazon or ask Alexa hands-free for their Bee insights, summaries, or to-dos. Bee also works with productivity software such as Gmail, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Outlook to draft emails, set up meetings, and surface action items. Users can upload photos to Bee or connect it with Apple’s HealthKit to integrate wellness into insights. Both new devices have a single power button, an indicator light while summarizing, and come with a redesigned companion mobile app plus a new desktop app. The Bee Frontier adds IP67 water resistance, up to seven days of battery life, USB-C charging, and dual microphones with advanced noise filtering. The Frontier is available now on Amazon; the Eclipse will be available soon thereafter.
