SpaceX has closed its acquisition of AI coding startup Cursor, according to a blog post from Cursor.

The deal was first announced in April, when SpaceX secured an option to acquire the company for $60 billion after a period of joint technology development.

(SpaceX had earlier this year acquired Musk’s xAI.) Two months later, as SpaceX went public, the companies confirmed they would proceed with the acquisition.

In its announcement, Cursor emphasized that becoming part of SpaceX will give it “access to the largest fleet of GPUs in the world” and highlighted SpaceX‘s computing infrastructure, which is already rented out to customers including Anthropic and Google.

Cursor also stated that “SpaceX is building the computing capacity needed to scale intelligence far beyond what exists today” and that “Cursor will be one place where that intelligence becomes useful.
