Encore AI raises $30M for AI agents trained on customer call data

Encore AI, a startup that analyzes customer interactions to train AI voice agents for sales and support teams, has raised $30 million in a Series A round led by Team8. Founded in 2022 as Insait IO, the company originally built recommendation software for financial advisers before rebranding and expanding into a platform that mines call recordings, emails, and text messages linked to CRM data. CEO Dvir Ginzburg describes the process as “interaction mining”: the platform breaks conversations into stages, identifies which parts led to successful outcomes, and uses those findings to train AI agents that can operate autonomously or assist human employees in real time. Ginzburg says the agents replicate the strongest elements of top-performing employees’ playbooks, including specific anecdotes or jokes, because they are derived directly from observed successful interactions.

The platform also helps companies spot inefficiencies and friction points in their existing support and sales processes. Encore’s agents can communicate via voice or text directly with customers or act as assistants by suggesting responses during live conversations. The startup claims more than 40 enterprise customers globally, predominantly financial institutions, and says annual recurring revenue has grown more than fivefold since its seed round less than 18 months ago (exact revenue and valuation were not disclosed).

The market is becoming crowded as large CRM providers like Salesforce, SAP, Zoho, and HubSpot could build similar AI capabilities around their own customer data. Ginzburg argues that data access alone is insufficient because those vendors would need to fundamentally rework their technology stacks to make conversational history the foundation of their AI agents the way Encore does. The Series A also included participation from Planven, Lukatz, Garage, and several banks and insurers—some of which invested after first using Encore’s product. The company plans to use the funds to expand U.S. sales operations and deploy its platform with more large financial institutions.
