Microsoft announced MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, a model designed to find vulnerabilities in complex codebases, and Perception, a platform that deploys agentic red, blue, and green teams to automate security workflows.
The model integrates with Microsoft’s MDASH harness for vulnerability identification and remediation. Mustafa Suleyman claimed the model beats Gemini, GPT 5.5 Cyber, GPT 5.
6 Sol, and Mythos 5 on the Cyber Gym benchmark, though these are self-reported results.
Hayete Gallot framed Perception as a response to AI-powered attacks, enabling defenders to use AI at attacker speed.
The platform reduces manual work from hours to minutes, according to lead engineer Dave Weston. Both tools will enter preview on November 3, competing with offerings from Anthropic and OpenAI.
