Agent Gravity: The New Battle for AI Workloads

The concept of agent gravity emerges as the successor to data gravity in the age of AI agents.
The tension is that agents require massive compute, and major cloud platforms like Microsoft and Databricks are competing to keep those workloads on their own infrastructure.
A recent Databricks feature on Microsoft‘s platform illustrates this: it allowed Power BI customers to build agents in Databricks instead of Microsoft‘s own Fabric, effectively siphoning profitable workloads away.
