Claude Expands Connectors to Everyday Life Apps

Claude‘s connector ecosystem previously focused on productivity and work tools, but users wanted to integrate apps from their personal lives. This expansion bridges that gap by connecting Claude to services like AllTrails for hiking, Instacart for groceries, and Uber for rides, enabling seamless cross-app interactions within a single conversation. The goal is to make Claude a central assistant for both professional and daily tasks.
Technically, connectors now appear dynamically based on conversation context and user preferences. Claude infers which app is relevant—like suggesting AllTrails for a weekend hike or Instacart for adding items to a grocery cart—and presents multiple options when applicable. The system respects user privacy: connected apps’ data is not used for model training, and other conversations remain hidden. Claude also requires explicit confirmation before making purchases or bookings.
Practically, this turns Claude into a versatile lifestyle assistant. A user can ask for a dog-friendly hike, see AllTrails recommendations, then switch to Uber Eats to order post-hike dinner—all without leaving the chat. The expansion covers 15 new connectors including Booking.com, Spotify, and Taskrabbit, with more planned. Users retain control over which apps connect and can disconnect anytime.
